Baptism
You must be baptized as part of your confirmation pre-requisite. If you have not been baptized the Faith In God Church will accommodate if in our local area. If you are not in our local area we will gladly provide the instruction for your baptism, by a baptized individual in your local area, which includes your affirmation of the baptism and what your intention is by becoming baptized.
If you have already received baptism as an infant, or at an older age – it is necessary to show a copy of the baptismal certificate, and you must “re-affirm” what you consider your baptism to be and what it supports in your intentions through that baptism.
To affirm or re-affirm your baptism, you agree with the following belief:
I Believe ~
~ that the forgiveness of my sins; the payment of their penalties and my salvation eternally secure only comes through accepting Christ as my Lord and Savior; believing that Christ’s crucifixion and death was for the sake of my sins and salvation and believing that I must be baptized before I can receive the Holy Spirit by way of Christ’s sacrifice.
~ to receive my salvation and to enter the Kingdom Of Heaven I must be born again of the water to receive that forgiveness and to receive the Holy Spirit.
~ that only through baptism I have been born again of the water.
~ that only through baptism I have joined Christ in his death, burial and resurrection which is necessary to receive the grace and forgiveness I seek.
~ that only through baptism I am worthy of Christ’s protection and to become part of His established church.
In truth, the body is not a building or structure,
but more the hearts and souls of the faithful
that represent the spiritual brick and mortar of
a community that Christ named “His Assembly.”
