Communion
Another pre-requisite for confirmation is the affirmation of what most churches call communion. The Faith In God Church believes that communion is available to all who have been baptized.
In this process, you will affirm your belief in the ritual of communion to be the following:
I Believe ~
~ that establishing the breaking of bread and the sharing of the fruit of the vine in memory of Jesus Christ bestows
- Grace upon us and those who partake.
- Fulfils Christ's request for us to do so.
- Secures us in the covenant Christ established through his body and blood symbolized by bread and drink.
- Offers our love and devotion to Christ and reaffirms our belief in the value and sanctity of His death, burial and resurrection.
- Through baptism, and accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we have secured our right to partake and provide the breaking of bread and sharing of the fruit of the wine that we call communion.
- By doing so we are in communion with Christ, his mission and the sovereignty of the trinitarian existence of God the Father, God The Son and God The Holy Spirit.
In truth, the body is not a building or structure,
but more the hearts and souls of the faithful
that represent the spiritual brick and mortar of
a community that Christ named “His Assembly.”
