Engagements:
It's been said that today's marriage success is very poor. The statistics show that roughly fifty percent of all marriages today - "fail."
We don't prescribe to the statistics. The statistics talk about today. What about yesterday, a year ago, twenty years ago and for that matter a century ago. If you compare "all" the marriages over the entire time marriage has taken place to its success rate . . . marriage ranks as one of the most successful partnerships in history.
Nuptial officiating is available to all those who become members of the Faith In God Church congregation.
We do require three preparatory sessions that can be considered "pre-marital counseling" as provided by denominational faiths.
We call it Engagements, to coincide with your current situation - "you're engaged to be married." We provide a real life preparation for marriage that explains the true meaning behind what both of you have intended to "engage in."
We encourage both bride and groom to write an extension to their wedding vows that will become part of the ceremony. Our wedding ceremony is a Celtic tradition employing the fasting of hands during the service.
In truth, the body is not a building or structure,
but more the hearts and souls of the faithful
that represent the spiritual brick and mortar of
a community that Christ named “His Assembly.”
